Job Description

Love Joy Church is a small rural church started in 1868.  We are located in the Love Joy Community in Troy NC, surrounded by the Uwharrie National Forest.  We have a membership number of 140, with an average attendance on Sunday mornings of 50.  We want to grouw our numbers, especially with young people.  Our church has a historic arbor where we hold yearly revival and other services.  We have a 3 bedroom parsonage that is newly remodeled, with a finished basement that is available.  

We believe in the traditional teachings of John Wesley.  Our church is well known in our area for community service and fundraising/outreach.  We have recently disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church and are looking to rebuild our Sunday School and strengthen our worship services.

We are located in the center of North Carolina.  We have a new central high school that is closely affiliated with the local strong community college.  Our county provides many outdoor family activities, such as hiking, kayaking and camping.  We are located close to Lake Tillery and Badin Lake and the NC Zoo.
