The pastoral position will become vacant during 2023 due to the semi-retirement of our long time pastor. The existing pastor will continue as a mentor for the foreseeable future.
StarStone Fellowship is a non-denominational Wesleyan based Christian church founded in 2023 in Parker, Colorado. The church has been growing steadily, with about 175 in the church family and a typical weekly attendance of about 120 people.
The Pastor's role at StarStone Fellowship is crucial to our mission of providing a welcoming and spiritually enriching community for all. As a non-denominational Christian community, we seek a Pastor who is committed to the Word of God and dedicated to helping our congregation grow as followers of Jesus. Our goal is to add blessings to people in our local community and beyond, so we are looking for a Pastor who is passionate about serving others and spreading the love of Christ.
One unique aspect of the Pastor's role at StarStone Fellowship is that our weekly gatherings take place on Wednesday evenings. This means that the position can be held by someone who is currently working another job as a pastor or elsewhere, as long as they are available on Wednesday evenings. The position can be part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate's availability and qualifications.
As Wesleyan believers, we find joy in worship and are blessed to serve. Our worship service is centered on Christ-centered music, study of the Bible, and a strong word of encouragement. As Pastor, you will be responsible for leading our weekly worship service, guiding our congregation in studying the Bible, providing spiritual counseling and support, pastoral care, and fostering a welcoming community for all. It is expected that the Pastor will have a deep understanding of Wesleyan theology, a Master of Divinity degree and other denominational credentials.
