Principal Mission: The Pastor for NextGen Ministries is responsible to the Lead Pastor and the Administrative Operations Team (AOT), for planning, leading, directing, and coordinating all ministries to children, youth, and families.
Overall:
Define and protect an overarching purpose and strategy so that all student age groups are working toward a common goal.
Inspire staff and volunteers to avoid age-group silos.
Work with staff and volunteers to develop goals and strategies.
Outreach:
Plan, develop, and maintain a specific plan of outreach for each major age student group of the church.
Continually seek ways to go beyond our church walls to minister to children, youth, and families in our community. Work with other pastors in the community to enhance all efforts to reach students to be disciples of Christ.
Research, study, and prepare for student Bible studies, mission activities, service projects, and special events like retreats and camps.
Organization:
Empower, mobilize, and engage laypersons in children and youth ministries to provide a framework for families and students to find their places to lead/participate in the life of the church.
Lead in engagement and caregiving with children and youth.
Lead all children and youth ministries of our church.
