JOB SUMMARY


The pastor at New Richmond Baptist is responsible to cast vision, provide strategic and administrative leadership, proclaim God’s Word using the King James Bible, oversee staff, win lost souls, and shepherd the flock..


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Determine the objectives and goals of the church and related ministries.

  • Approve the church’s long-range strategic plan.

  • Finalize and present church-wide budget recommendations to the church’s Finance Committee and/or Deacon Body.

  • Manage all responsibilities within established budget and as set forth in the bylaws.

  • Conduct meetings and training sessions as needed.

  • Attend professional development courses/seminars/classes/conferences as needed

  • Provide mentoring to those whom you supervise.

  • Lead by example in ministry.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of the church’s Policies

  • Leads the pastoral team at New Richmond Baptist.

  • Preaches a majority of the time and equips/encourages the other pastors to preach as well.

  • Equips and delegates teaching responsibility to other teaching staff as necessary.

  • Is active in pastoral care.

  • Will be able to devote 40 hours per week minimum toward the position.

  • We hold what some may see as a non traditional view on divorce and re-marriage.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Plan, oversee, and conduct the church’s worship services.

  • Serve as the President, CEO, and Director of the corporation.

  • Develop and lead the church’s ministry of evangelism, edification, discipleship, and assimilation.

  • Visit prospects and members as needed and able.

  • Lead and oversee the church’s staff or delegate and empower others to do so.

  • Provide counsel and pastoral care as needed and able.

  • Plan and promote special events, conferences, seminars, activities, and programs sponsored by the church.

  • Conduct weddings and funerals as needed and able.

  • Lead in observance of church ordinances.

  • Serve as moderator of all church business meetings (except when business directly involves the Senior Pastor, then the Deacon Chairman or Vice Chairman should preside).

  • Serve as an ex-officio member of all boards and committees of the church and related ministries.

  • Evaluate the church’s mission, core values, ministries, worship services, budget, and staff on a continuous basis and implement changes as needed.


QUALIFICATION



  • Must possess the spiritual gifts of: preaching, teaching, servanthood, leadership, teaching and shepherding.

  • The ideal candidate will have a College Degree.

  • Will have lived in the United States for the last 3 years and knows the culture.

  • The ideal candidate should have 5 years of Senior Pastoral experience.
