Ebenezer Mennonite Church (EMC) is an independent, evangelical church whose purpose is to REACH out to the lost with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ; to TEACH disciples how to grow in their knowledge, understanding, and relationship with Him, and to use their talents to serve the church body; and to develop a CARING concern that extends out into the communities where they live and work.
The senior pastor provides leadership and supervision for all areas of the church. He leads EMC towards its mission, REACH, TEACH, CARE. He provides apologetic and expositional teaching/preaching that is true to the Word of God and applicable for our time. The senior pastor performs all the ordinances of EMC. He relates to multiple generations and a diverse congregation within a rural environment. He leads in learning new ways to support, minister to, and engage with the communities we serve. He is missional both in local outreach and with EMC's global mission program. He and his staff provide care through counseling, visitation, and discipleship. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor's in Biblical studies or Christian ministries. A Master of Divinity degree (or working towards it) is preferred; however, significant experience as a senior pastor will be considered in lieu of the M.Div. degree. The pastor must strictly adhere to EMC's statement of faith.
