Job Description

Osaka International Church (OIC), Osaka city, Japan, is praying for God to send us a new senior pastor.
We feel that this position will be filled best by someone who:

• is called by God to pastoral ministry and walks daily in fellowship with God.


• believes the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant Word of God.


• is an ordained Minister with several years of pastoral experience.


• is able to do expository preaching in a way that challenges people to apply the Bible teaching to their lives.


• Biblical counseling skills for emotional needs necessary.


• is skilled in relating cross-culturally to all ages with a heart to grow our ministry.


• has a pastor’s heart, full of God’s love; responsible for feeding the sheep and encouraging fellowship.


• is a fluent English speaker.


• an understanding of Japanese culture preferable.


• experience of living and working in Japan a plus.


• some ability to speak Japanese a plus.

OIC is an international, evangelical church comprised of 60% Japanese people and a variety of other nationalities (North America, Europe, Asia, Africa).
