Founded in 1787 and designated “A Pioneer Virginia Baptist Church.”  The Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church never has swayed from her founding beliefs: the Bible is the Word of God and Jesus Christ is the Way of Salvation.

The former “Sperryville Baptist Church,” the congregation changed the church name to Reynolds Memorial to honor a Rev. Reynolds, who passed away in 1911. The current sanctuary was built in 1925; its stained glass windows are among the finest to be found in Rappahannock County, Virginia. We are a God-fearing, family-friendly congregation, with plenty to do for members and friends of all ages. We are, in all ways, a 21st century southern Baptist church, never forgetting our past but with a constant eye for the future. In brief, we give traditional, conservative Christianity a friendly face. Our mission outreach starts locally and extends literally “to the ends of the earth.”

While remaining mindful of the vital context of the Christian Church worldwide, we provide various programs and missions for congregants of all ages.  We belong to Jesus, and we pray you might find a place to belong with us.

The Congregation of Reynold’s Memorial Baptist Church desires an evangelical, inspiring, faithful servant of Christ as its next Senior Pastor.  Candidates should have a firm understanding of Biblical principles and application to current culture and everyday life, as well as have proven experience as a gifted teacher of God’s Word, and skilled preacher dedicated to church growth, teacher youth ministry, and community outreach. 

Salary commensurate with experience and education in the field.
