The Communications Director will assist in planning, creating, organizing, and implementing effective communication messages internally and externally for the church and community it serves.
Job Responsibilities
Develop the overall Communication strategy and systems for Makers Church Northwest
Proactively identify and implement effective ways to communicate mission, vision, and values to our community and those we are tasked to reach
Lead the Communications team with accountability, vision, and passion
High proficiency in writing skills, expecting to speak on behalf of Makers Church NW, its staff, and senior leadership
Able to prepare in advance to respond to moments of cultural significance
Job Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with Adobe Suite
2 years of management experience is preferred
Excellent organizational, oral, and written communications
Eye for detail and ability to give effective feedback
Eager to learn and grow
Ability to implement and maintain project management software to manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
Evidence of a growing relationship with Jesus and a regular contributor to Makers Church NW
Will make Makers Church NW your church home and actively pursue membership
Serve as managing editor of Makers Church NW media outlets

Creating, designing and using graphics and other media in effective communications.

Church-wide print media and ministry specific artwork

Integrate communications plans and requests on both church wide and ministry specific levels into the planning and conceptualizing of print media.
Conceptualize, design, and provide artwork for electronic media as assigned.
Web and social media
Collaborating with others in the creation of graphic designs
Managing graphics workflows
Is knowledgeable of the current creative, communication and technological trends. Always looking for opportunities to use this information to communicate with the community and church family more effectively.
Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills. This individual serves as the "eyes" for all things print and electronic, looking for clear communication, brand presence and consistency.
