About Us
Our Story: A Church Planted for One of the Wealthiest & Spiritually Dark Corners of Detroit. All Souls exists because Cord and Katy Carlin said yes to plant a Gospel-centered church in one of Metro Detroit's wealthiest, most comfortable — and spiritually needy — corners; neighboring Novi adds fast growth, corporate transplants, and newcomers short on belonging rather than ambition. The need is backed by data: $145K+ median household income in Northville, 67K+ residents in fast-growing Novi, 31% of Michigan adults with no religious affiliation, and 600K+ members lost by the Detroit Catholic Archdiocese since 2005. The church is planted under the Great Lakes Presbytery of the PCA as a new work of The Detroit Project, not a solo venture. It began through donated resources and a small core group of 14 adults and 7 kids, built face-to-face and meal-by-meal, and has since grown to 40–50 in weekly attendance. Its mission — to make the Word of God known to all souls, at all times, at all costs — pairs Gospel-centered theology with radical hospitality and relentless community involvement, all flowing from one aim: that all souls would know Christ.
