This scholarship offers financial support to students preparing to serve as pastors, worship leaders, youth ministers, and other ministry leaders, enabling them to pursue their calling with excellence.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be enrolled or accepted into a U.S.-accredited undergraduate or graduate program.
- Be pursuing a full-time degree in ministry, religion, theology, philosophy, or a related field.
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Have volunteer experience in a church or faith-based organization.
- Be a domestic or international student.
Application Process
To apply:
- Complete the Free Career Fit Test™ at CareerFitTest.com to explore your unique career preferences and strengths. The Premium Report is optional.
- Read the introduction and first chapter of Live Your Calling: A Practical Guide to Finding and Fulfilling Your Mission in Life (available free).
- Complete the online application form on this scholarship page.
- Submit a 400–500 word essay reflecting on:
- Your passion for ministry and chosen field of study.
- Your career goals and how you plan to serve in church leadership.
- How the Career Fit Test™ results and insights from Live Your Calling relate to your career direction.
- Submit one letter of recommendation from a professor, pastor, employer, or mentor.
- Additional documents:
A. Current college students: Provide a digital copy of your unofficial college transcript that shows your GPA.
B. High school students: Provide a digital copy of your unofficial high school transcript that shows your GPA and a digital copy of your college acceptance letter.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Passion and commitment to ministry leadership.
- Clarity and feasibility of career goals.
- Quality, thoughtfulness, and originality of the essay, including integration of Career Fit Test™ results and insights from Live Your Calling.
- Essay Authenticity Statement:
Applicants are expected to submit essays that reflect their own original thoughts, writing style, and personal insights. While tools such as grammar and spelling checkers (e.g., Grammarly) are acceptable for proofreading, the use of AI writing generators (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to compose or substantially draft your essay is discouraged and may be considered during the evaluation process.
Essays should authentically represent your personal experience, passion for ministry, and individual sense of calling.

- Recipient announced by June 30, 2026
Award Conditions
- One-time, non-renewable $500 scholarship.
- Winner’s name, essay, and brief video interview may be published on ChurchJobsOnline.com, in newsletters, and on our social media channels.
- ChurchJobsOnline.com reserves the right to verify enrollment status and GPA.
- Only one submission is allowed per student.
